Cheers,

We’ve also had a number of people join the club over the past few weeks, mainly from the Friday roll-ups, so a big welcome to them. Can I please remind people that the dress code (greys with white/club tops) always pertains, except for Friday evening roll-ups. For regular bowlers it is important to have flat bowling shoes and to change into them only when you arrive at the club. The last is to reduce the possibility of infections getting into the green.
The leagues are well underway and a number of county games have been played as well as most of the first round of the club competitions. Saturdays are going well and they are a good place for new bowlers to start, so if you haven’t yet, please do sign up on the availability sheet in the Thatch.
On Sunday it is the Royal British Legion Open (mixed rinks – 2 ladies & 2 men). It is open to all. But please arrange your team before signing up. Sign up is in the Thatch. Then next Tuesday afternoon, we welcome the Leicestershire Visually Impaired Bowling Club. It is open to any bowling member to play and I’d encourage you to sign up for it (in the Thatch). It is a good afternoon. Then on Sunday 25th June it is the Memorial Shield – drawn mixed triples, with fun rules. It is open to full members only and the sign-up sheet will be in the Thatch.
Kind regards,
Andy
